A Design Studio to Serve you Better!
Just as we invite change into our client’s homes and cottages, we look forward to the same reimagining of space for ourselves. If you have popped in lately, you will notice that our art space, Colborne Street Gallery has simply shuffled next door to where Room by Tim + Chris was. In turn, Room by Tim + Chris has evolved into our design studio. We have some beautiful images to share with you so you can get a sense of what we are envisioning!
The Design Studio
Clients of the design studio will work with a designer as an extension of Home by Tim + Chris's Architectural and Interior Design offerings. As a client you can decide in which capacity you wish to work with our design team. Whether it’s a Room Refresh service you require or a Full Home Design level of service, our design centre will focus on Canadian Made with made-to-order products such as pillows, rugs, furniture and blinds. Pillows will be custom made by our inhouse upholstery team and custom wood pieces will be available through our very own StudioTC. The design studio will be a curated collection of personalized selections so that you, as a client, can be a part of the creative process!
With design collaboration and input from our design team, we can work with you to make every design decision for your space. You will have exclusive access to brands we offer, some of which are only available to the trade. We know that seeing, touching and being able to create alongside a designer is a hands-on approach that many of you will appreciate.
Within the design studio you will find our Hunter Douglas offering along with our Canadian brand Domir Blinds, for window covering options. Our specialist will help design clients make decisions around type of shade, fabric selection, measurements and overall design aesthetic to help suit any space.
Furniture selections can be customized in a variety of styles, finishes and fabrics to personalize your design choices. Our designers will work closely with you to find the perfect solution for whatever design level service you need.
Our bright, comfortable space is ideal for sitting with our team and selecting your design choices so you can look forward to install day knowing you had the right design direction to bring it all together!

We look forward to bringing you brands such as: Gus, Kuzco, Au Lit Fine Linens, Lolai, EQ3 and Cabana Coast in a highly customized format. You can select fabric, shape, interior content, and finishes for your furniture and accessory choices.

Colborne Street Gallery
The unique setting that we have created next door for Colborne Street Gallery will further build on the community spirit and shared discovery that Colborne Street Gallery is known for. It has always been a space ideal for bringing people together to foster art and culture in the Kawarthas.

As designers, the gallery also serves a purpose for our clients to have access to curated pieces from local artists for their home or cottage. Our designers work to use art in our client’s spaces to add depth, layers and personality.
